NOTES AND TECHNIQUES
Rick Rack Tee is a seamless top-down tee with a square neckline in front, a ribbed panel down the back in the middle, and a rick rack rib that forms a chequered pattern with 1x1 ribbed cable on the rest of the tee. In order for different sizes to keep similar proportions where sleeves end around the upper arms, some sizes have underarm shaping or additional underarm stitches while some sizes are worked straight.
The shoulders shaped with German short rows are worked flat. Combined with stitches cast on for the neck, the front and back are worked separately to the underarm. They are then joined and worked in the round towards the hem. A switch to smaller needles to knit the lower body and hem gives the tee a gentle taper towards the hem.
The tee is cropped at waist length. Suggestions are given in the pattern on how to add length to the tee if desired.
